Lord willing, there will be a Seed Sowers distribution from December 27-31 in this border city of 150,000 people. A number of assembly believers have contacts and family members who live in SLRC including our sister Pati Lopez of Hermosillo. Her parents and seven brothers and sisters live there and some have expressed interest in us having meetings in their community. Continue reading John Dennison (San Luis Rio Colorado) →
In November, I visited West Liberty, Iowa, where Ryan and Christiana Hayes live and work. About 50% of this small town is Hispanic. West Liberty is a one hour drive from the assembly in Marion. Continue reading Shad Sluiter (West Liberty, IA) →
Things are getting back to normal in Pachuca after the circumstances surrounding the loss of our co-workers Bethany up in Cd. Obregón. After arriving back, I was quite sick for a couple weeks, and still have some on-going issues, but nothing to overly worry about. We had a baptism last night, which was a real joy to all present. A large number of unsaved family came out, and we also had David Alves Jr with us (passing through on the way home) and Paul Thiessen as well. Paul will be with us for the week with a series of Bible Readings on the Local Assembly.
We continue to appreciate your prayers for the work here, and for wisdom relative to the future.
Warmly in our Lord,
Dan

Last night a baptism was held in the hall, which was full to almost overflowing. Three people were baptized, a couple who have been in contact with the gospel for years and then Cecilia Manzano de Nehme who has been attending the meetings at the hall for about a year. She had professed to be saved and was baptized with another group but after attending the Sunday night gospel meetings and hearing the gospel preached for several months, she realized that this was not something that she possessed, nor had she ever!
